eVisits through Advanced Dermatology Care

Advanced Dermatology Care is proud to offer eVisits as an option for our patients to receive their dermatological care!

What is an eVisit?

eVisits allow you to receive a consultation, diagnosis, and a treatment plan in place of an in-office appointment. eVisits are done electronically through your patient portal. Because they don’t require you to be available for a specific appointment time, they are flexible to meet your busy schedule!


What Dermatological Conditions can be treated via eVisits? ** limited to one concern per visit

 Medication refills for patients with established conditions (Some medication refill follow ups may not be available through online appointments)

  • Acne or Complexion Concerns

  • Cold sores

  • Dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis)

  • Dermatitis

  • Diaper dermatitis

  • Eczema

  • Eyelid dermatitis

  • Folliculitis

  • Hairloss

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Hypopigmentation

  • Impetigo

  • Lichen planus

  • Moles/skin cancers (some may require an in-office visit for further evaluation)

  • Molluscum Contagiosum

  • Perioral dermatitis

  • Psoriasis

  • Rashes

  • Ringworm (tinea)

  • Rosacea

  • Seborrheic Keratoses

  • Shingles

  • Tinea Versicolor

  • Warts

  • And many other conditions as well



How do I request an eVisit? 

If you haven’t already done so, you must create and register for a Patient Portal by clicking here. Once you have a patient portal, log into your portal and click the Mail Tab at the top of the page and select Compose Message. Chose the category eVisit Request and send us a message stating your reason for visit (Ex. Rash, Lesion, Follow-up for medication refill).


How do I share photos for my eVisit? 

A photo of your area of concern is required as part of the evaluation process for an eVisit. Once you request an appointment, you will receive instructions on how to share a photo with your Provider. You will share your photo using our secure photo share link by clicking here https://secureupload.adcderm.com/.


Can I request a certain provider for my eVisit?

 Yes, during the eVisit process you will be given the option to either choose a specific provider or simply choose the next available eVisit.


How quickly will I get a response to my eVisit? 

  • If you request a certain provider for your eVisit, the entire process can take up to 5 business days.

  • If you request the next available eVisit, the entire process can take up to 3 business days.

  • Please note that you will need to be actively responding to our Patient Portal requests for payment, additional information, etc. throughout this process in order for us to provide you information and answers in a timely manner.


What if I need a biopsy or other procedure?

 If an in-office procedure is needed, you will be instructed to schedule an appointment.

 *note that during the COVID-19 Pandemic, in-office visits may not be available. A member of our staff will communicate with you regarding your recommended treatment options.


What does an eVisit Cost?

 The cost of an eVisit is $75. That includes the diagnosis, personalized treatment plan and routing prescriptions to your pharmacy. Once you request an eVisit, you will receive a statement showing your eVisit charge, you can pay this charge through your patient portal. Your visit will be reviewed by our medical dermatology providers upon payment of your online visit.

  • eVisits are not submitted to insurance, they are self-pay appointments only.  However many patients use their Health Spending Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for qualified treatments


Is my personal health information kept confidential?

 Yes, we take patient safety and privacy very seriously. We adhere to the national patient information security standards found in both HIPAA and HITECH regulations, including sharing information with any accepted insurance providers. Patient photos, personal and medical information, video chats, and diagnoses are never made public.
